About Metropolis Intercollegiate

Founded in 1922 and located in White Plains, NY, Metropolis Country Club is one of the premier private clubs in the Northeast. Known for its rich history, welcoming membership, and commitment to excellence, Metropolis has long been a staple in the Metropolitan golf community.

The course, designed by the legendary Herb Strong and A. W. Tillinghast, features a par-70 championship layout that tests players with tight fairways, well-placed bunkers, and fast, undulating greens. The club has received numerous accolades, including a 2025 ranking in Golf Digest’s Top 50 Courses in New York. Its iconic 6th hole is widely recognized as one of the best in the Metropolitan area and was named among the Top 500 Holes in the World.
